The AD8638/AD8639 are single/dual-channel wide-bandwidth, self-stabilizing zero-amplifiers with rail-to-rail output swing and low noise. These amplifiers have extremely low offset, drift, and bias currents. It is powered from a single 5 V ~ 16 V supply (or ± 2.5 V ~ ±8 V dual supply).
The AD8638/AD8639 offer the benefits of expensive zero-drift amplifiers or chopper-stabilized amplifiers. These self-stabilizing zero amplifiers leverage Analog Devices' topology to achieve the perfect combination of low cost, high accuracy and low noise, without the need for additional external capacitors. In addition, the AD8638/AD8639 significantly reduces the digital switching noise commonly found in most chopper-stabilized amplifiers.
The AD8638/AD8639 have a typical offset voltage of only 3 μV, a drift of less than 0.04 μV/°C, and a noise of only 1.2 μV p-p (0.1 Hz~10 Hz), making them ideal for precision applications. The zero-drift characteristics of both devices over the operating temperature range enable them to meet the requirements of position and pressure sensors, medical devices, and strain gauge amplifiers. Many systems can take advantage of the rail-to-rail output swing provided by the AD8638/AD8639 to achieve the maximum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
The AD8638/AD8639 meet specified performance specifications over an extended industrial temperature range (-40°C~+125°C). The single-channel AD8638 is available in a miniature 5-pin SOT-23 package and an 8-pin SOIC package. The dual-channel AD8639 is available in an 8-pin MSOP package and an 8-pin SOIC package.
