ATS692LSH uses an optimized combination of Hall-effect integrated circuits (ICs) and rare earth magnets to provide a user-friendly solution for orientation detection and true zero-speed digital gear tooth sensing. The small package can be easily assembled and used in a variety of gear sensing applications.

The IC uses a patented algorithm to meet the special operational requirements of automotive transmission applications. The speed and direction of the target are transmitted via a variable pulse width output protocol. The ATS692's greatest advantage is that it handles vibration without reducing the maximum air gap capacity or generating any false directional information.

Even high-angle vibrations generated by engine start-up are completely eliminated by the device. Advanced vibration detection algorithms systematically calibrate the sensor IC based on the initial gear teeth rotating against the real target instead of vibration, ensuring the accuracy of the signal in operating mode at all times.

The device is available in a lead-free (Pb) 4-pin SIP package with a 100% matte tin plated pin frame.
