The A3906 is intended for use in low voltage stepper motors, single and dual DC motorsPulse widening(PWM) control that outputs up to 1 A per channel and operates from a voltage range of 2.5 to 9 V.

The A3906 has a fixed off-time PWM timer that sets the peak current based on the choice of current sense resistor. The overcurrent output flag is used to inform the user when the current in the motor windings reaches its peak current, which can be sensed by the sense resistor. Output failures do not affectdriveRun.

The A3906 is available in a 20-contact, 4 mm × 4 mm, 0.75 mm nominal total height QFN package with exposed pads for enhanced heat dissipation. The packaging is lead-free and 100% matte tin plating.
