These devices include a 50 volt load supply voltage and -500 mA output current and are recommended for high-side switching applications where logic and load are grounded separately. These 8-channel sourcesdriveUsed to connect between low-level logic and high-current loads. Typical loads include relays, solenoids, lamps, steppers and/or servo motors, print hammers, and LEDs.

All devices can be used in 5 volt logic systems—TTL, Schottky TTL, DTL, and 5 volt CMOS. Electrically interchangeable device packages are available to withstand a maximum output off voltage of 50 volts and can operate down to 5 volts. All devices in the series integrate an input current limit resistor and an output transient suppression diode, activated by an active high input.
