The A4402 is a buck regulator that combines 2% constant operating time and 2%Linear regulatorPower management ICs. This product is suitable for applications requiring two regulated voltages. The buck regulator output supplies power to an adjustable linear regulator to reduce power dissipation and improve overall efficiency.

The switching regulator can operate at frequencies in excess of 2 MHz. Switching frequencies in excess of 2 MHz allow customers to select low-value inductors and capacitors while avoiding EMI.

Protection features include undervoltage lockout and thermal shutdown. In the event of a load short circuit, the regulator activates overcurrent protection. The A4402 also features a power-on reset function with adjustable delay for microprocessor output.

The A4402 is available in a 16-pin, ≤1.20 mm nominal full-height TSSOP package with an exposed heatsink for enhanced thermal dissipation. The packages are lead-free and feature 100% matte tin plating.
