The A6260 is a linear, programmable current regulator that delivers up to 350 mA to drive high-brightness LEDs. The LED current is precisely adjustable up to 4% and is set by a single low-power inductive resistor. Constant current drive LEDs are used to ensure safe operation at maximum possible illumination output. For automotive applications, 1 to 3 LEDs are driven with currents up to 350 mA for optimized performance.
The A6260's low dropout voltage feature enables the safe drive of a single white LED at full current and supply voltages as low as 6 V.
Enables PWM light and dark adjustment on the input and can be used to initiate low-current sleep mode. When PWM switching, the rate of current change is limited, reducing EMI.
Overcurrent detection provides protection for the LED and A6260 when the LED terminal power supply is shorted or shorted to the ground.
If the chip temperature exceeds the temperature limit, an integrated temperature monitor can be used to reduce the LED driver current.
The device is available in an 8-pin SOIC package with an exposed thermal gasket (suffix LJ). The device is lead-free and the pin frame is 100% matte plated.
