A6267It is a DC-DC convertercontrollerA programmable constant-current output is available to drive high-power LEDs connected in series. LEDs that drive in series ensure the same current and uniform brightness. For automotive applications, it can drive up to 15 LEDs at up to 1 A for optimized performance.
The A6267 provides a cost-effective solution using external logic horizontal MOSFETs and minimal additional external components. The maximum LED current is programmable with a single external sense resistor and can be modified using a current reference input. Direct PWM control can be achieved by enabling the input, and there is also a slave mode.
DC-DC converters can be configured as ground-referenced boost converters or supply-referenced boost converters to provide buck-boost capability. Using a buck-boost topology ensures that the LEDs have no leakage path during shutdown and no inrush current at startup.
Integrated diagnostics and dual fault outputs indicate undervoltage, die overtemperature, output open, LED short, and LED undercurrent, and LED short-to-ground protection can be configured to protect LED connections. Has a unique feature to detect one or more short-circuited LEDs.
The unit is available in a 16-pin TSSOP package (suffix LP) with an exposed heat sink. It is packaged as a lead (PB) free product and features 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
