  • Product details

    ADP1715/ADP1716 are low dropout voltages,CMOS linear regulatoroperates from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply with a maximum output current of 500 mA. These devices feature an advanced proprietary architecture that provides high power supply rejection and excellent line and load transient response with a small ceramic output capacitor of only 2.2 μF.

    The device is available in three versions: the first with fixed output voltage option and variable soft-start feature (ADP1715), the second with adjustable output voltage and fixed soft-start feature (ADP1715 adjustable model), and the third with fixed output voltage option and voltage tracking feature (ADP1716). The fixed output voltage option is internally set to select one of 16 values from 0.75 V to 3.3 V; The adjustable output voltage is set via an external divider connected from OUT to the ADJ and can be set to any value from 0.8 V to 5.0 V. The variable soft-start feature uses an external capacitor on one SS to control the output voltage ramp. The tracking feature limits the output voltage to the voltage on the TRK pin or lower.

    The ADP1715/ADP1716, both available in an 8-lead, thermally enhanced MSOP package, are not only very compact, but also have excellent thermal performance for low-profile, small applications requiring up to 500 mA output current.
