Each DAC is equipped with a separate on-chip latch that can be easily interfaced with the microprocessor.
Data is transmitted to one of the two DAC data latches via a common 8-bit TTL/CMOS compatible input port. Control input DAC A/DAC B to determine which DAC the data is loaded in. The AD7528 has a similar load cycle to the write cycle of random access memory, and the device is compatible with most 8-bit microprocessor buses, including the 6800, 8080, 8085, and Z80.
The device operates from a +5V to +15V supply and consumes only 20mW.
Both DACs offer excellent four-quadrant multiplication characteristics, each with a separate reference voltage input and feedback resistor.
