Honeywell HM Sealed Miniature Basic Switches are designed for a wide range of commercial and military aircraft as well as equipment for deep space applications (high altitude requirements). These miniature sealed switches can be found in a variety of other applications, including military land vehicles, marine environments, and other harsh industrial environments. The switches are available as MIL-PRF-8805 compliant switches. Choose HM switches with UL 508 certification for industrial or ground transportation applications. The Micro Switch HM Sealed Switch design combines glass-to-metal and metal-to-metal sealing and has been used in a variety of applications for over 50 years. The Sealed HM Basic Switch is an ideal symbol for 5 sealing applications with stringent requirements, including a wide temperature range of -184°C to 260°C [-300°F to 500°F]. With a stainless steel design housing and sealed structure, HM switches are suitable for dust, water, other particulate contaminants and corrosive gases. The HM Basic Switch offers versatility with bifurcated gold contacts for controlling low-energy loads (milliamps and millivolts) reliable or silver contacts for switching power loads at 30 VDC or 115 Vac, 400 Hz. The electrical connection to the switch is achieved through separate wires or "through-hole" solder columns, adding to the versatility of the HM switch.
