71M6531D Energy Meter IC

description

The 71M6531D/F and 71M6532D/F are highly integrated SoC devices with MPU core, RTC, flash, and LCD drivers. Teridian's Single Converter Technology 1 22-bit, Δ-ΣADC®; Four analog inputs, digital temperature compensation; Precision voltage reference; Battery voltage monitor; and a 32-bit computing engine (CE) that supports a wide range of residential metrology applications with a very small number of low-cost external components.

A 32kHz crystal time further reduces system cost on top of the entire system and internal battery backup RAM and RTC support. The IC supports 2-, 3-, and 4-wire single-phase and dual-phase residential metrology and tamper detection mechanisms. The 71M6531D/F provides two current channels and two single-ended voltage inputs as single-ended inputs. The 71M6532D/F has two differential current inputs and three single-ended voltage inputs.

Multiple UART provide maximum design flexibility, I²C INTERFACE, MICROWIRE™, UP TO 21 DIO PINS, AND PROGRAMMABLE FLASH MEMORY WITHIN THE SYSTEM TO RUN APPLICATION CODE OR DATA UPDATES.

A complete range of ICE and development tools, programming libraries and reference designs enable the rapid development of native products, AMRs and certifications, and prepaid meters, to meet global electricity metering standards.
