A1121LUA-T Stabilized Chopper Precision Hall Effect Switch
The A1220, A1121, A1122, A1123, and A1125 Hall-effect monopole switches are extremely stable and voltage-resistant sensor ICs at a wide range of temperatures, especially for applications up to 150°C. Dynamic offset cancellation ensures good performance at high temperatures and reduces residual offset voltages typically caused by device overmolding, temperature dependence, and thermal stress.
Each device houses the following components on a single silicon: voltage regulator, Hall generator, small signal amplifier, chopper-stabilized chopstick characteristics, Schmidt flip-flops, and an open-circuit collector output with short-circuit protection that can draw up to 25 mA.
The on-board regulator allows operation from a supply voltage of 3 to 24 V. The advantage of operating at voltages as low as 3 V is that the device can be used in 3 V applications or can be connected in series with the power pin via an additional external resistor for greater protection against high-voltage transients.
For A1120, A1121, A1122, and A1123, the output can be turned on as long as the south pole has a sufficient magnetic field. When there is no magnetic field, the output stops. The A1125 complements the A1120 and A1121, for the A1125, having a magnetic field at the south pole will turn off the output, while eliminating the magnetic field at the south pole will turn on the output.
Both package types provide magnetically optimized packages for most applications. The LH package is an improved SOT23W surface mount package, while the UA is a three-pin ultra-miniature SIP for via mounting. Each package is a lead-free package (suffix –T) and the pin frame is 100% matte tin plated.
