Allegro's A1190, A1192, and A1193 are part of a family of two-wire, unipolar Hall-effect switches that can be adjusted by the user at the end of the line to optimize the accuracy of magnetic switching points in applications. These devices are manufactured using its proprietary high-frequency four-phase chopper stabilization technology through Allegro's® advanced BiCMOS wafer fabrication process. This technology achieves magnetic stability relative to all operating temperatures, eliminating the inherent offset of single-Hall device devices for harsh application environments.
The A119x series has a variety of automotive applications, including sensing seat track position, seat buckle presence, hood/trunk lockout, and shift selector position.
Because two-wire monopole switches use one less wire than traditional open-collector switches, two-wire monopole switches are particularly suitable for cost-sensitive applications. Moreover, the system designer always has access to diagnostic information because the output current must always be within two narrow ranges. Any current level outside of these two ranges indicates a fault.
All products in this series are available in LH packages (SOT-23W small packages) for surface mount applications. The package is lead-free and the pin frame is 100% matte tin plated.
