Allegro ® A1202 and A1203Hall-effect bipolar switchIt is a next-generation replacement and expansion of the popular Allegro A3133 and A3132 bipolar switch product family. The A120x family is manufactured using BiCMOS technology, and the related continuous devices offer fast power-up and low operating noise. The device is programmed after the package to eliminate bias caused by package stress, ensuring higher switchpoint accuracy. Unique Hall element geometry and low bias amplifiers help reduce noise and reduce residual bias voltages typically caused by device overmolding, temperature surges, and thermal stress.
The A120x Hall-effect bipolar switch contains the following components on a single silicon chip: voltage regulator, Hall voltage generator, small signal amplifier, Schmitt trigger, and NMOS output transistor. An integrated voltage regulator allows operation between 3.8 and 24 V. Extended on-board protection circuitry enables an absolute maximum voltage rating of ± 30 V, providing superior protection for automotive and industrial motor rectification applications without the need for additional external components. All devices in the family differ except for magnetic switchpoints.
The small and delicate geometry of the BiCMOS process allows these devices to be available in ultra-small packages. Available package types provide magnetically optimized solutions for most applications. Package LH is a SOT23W miniature low profile surface mount package, while Package UA is a three-pin ultra-small SIP for via mounting. All packages are lead-free and the leadframes are 100% matte tin plating.
