Linear outputHall-effect sensorsNew applications, such as displacement and angular position, require greater accuracy and smaller package sizes. The Allegro A1318 and A1319 linear Hall-effect sensor ICs are designed to meet these requirements. Both surface-mount and through-hole plug-in packages have these thermally stable devices.
The accuracy of each device can be improved through end-of-line optimization. Each device comes with non-volatile memory to optimize the device sensitivity and quiescent voltage output (QVO: output without a magnetic field) for a given application or circuit. The A1318 and A1319 also achieve optimal performance over the entire operating temperature range by programming the temperature coefficient in Allegro end-of-line tests for high sensitivity and QVO.
These proportional Hall-effect sensor ICs provide a voltage output proportional to the applied magnetic field. The quiescent voltage output can be adjusted to approximately 50% of the supply voltage.
With their features, these linear devices are ideal for automotive and industrial applications that require high accuracy and operate over a temperature range of –40°C to 150°C.
Each BiCMOS monolithic circuit incorporates Hall element temperature compensation circuitry that reduces the inherent sensitivity drift of the Hall element, a small-signal high-gain amplifier, a clamped low-impedance output stage, and a proprietary dynamic offset cancellation technique.
A1318 and A1319sensorThe IC is available in two packages. LH is a SOT-23W miniature low profile package for surface mount. UA is a three-pin ultra-small single in-line package (SIP) for through-hole insertion. Both packages are lead (Pb) free and feature 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
