• Product Introduction

The A1356 device is a high-precision, programmable, open-drain Hall-effect linear sensor IC with a pulse-width modulation (PWM) output. The duty cycle (D) of the PWM output signal is proportional to the applied magnetic field. The A1356 unit converts analog signals into digitally encoded PWM output signals through its built-in Hall element. The coupling immunity of digitally encoded PWM outputs goes far beyond that of analog output signals.

The A1356 features a BiCMOS monolithic circuit that integrates a Hall element, high-precision temperature compensation circuitry to reduce the sensitivity and offset drift inherent in Hall components, a small signal high-gain amplifier, a proprietary dynamic offset cancellation circuitry, and PWM conversion circuitry. Dynamic offset cancellation circuitry reduces the residual offset voltage of Hall components. Hall element shifts are usually caused by molding devices, temperature dependence, and thermal stress. High-frequency offset cancellation (chopper) clocks support higher sampling rates, resulting in improved output signal accuracy and faster signal processing capabilities.

The A1356 sensor is available in a lead-free 3-pin single-in-line package (KB suffix) with 100% matte tin plating on the pin frame.
