This is achieved through a new patented linear interpolation temperature compensation technique that is factory programmed in Allegro and provides nearly uniform sensitivity and offset over the entire operating temperature range. Temperature compensation is done within the digital domain using integrated EEPROM technology without sacrificing the 120 kHz bandwidth of the analog signal path, making the device ideal for HEV inverter and DC-DC converter applications.

This proportional Hall-effect sensor IC provides a voltage output proportional to the applied magnetic field. Customers can pass through VCC and output pins are programmed to configure sensitivity and quiescent (zero-field) output voltages to optimize performance in end applications. The quiescent output voltage is user-adjustable to approximately the supply voltage (VCC), the output sensitivity can be adjusted from 0.6 to 14 mV/G.

The sensor IC contains a highly sensitive Hall element with a BiCMOS interface IC that uses a low-noise, low-signal, high-gain amplifier, clamped, low-impedance output stage, and high-bandwidth dynamic offset cancellation proprietary techniques. These Hall-effect advancements guarantee industry-leading sensing resolution while maintaining the full bandwidth of 120 kHz. The device also includes ground break detection and user-selectable output voltage clamping to meet the high reliability requirements of automotive applications.

Device parameters fit a wider ambient temperature range: –40°C to 150°C. The A1363 sensor IC is available in an ultra-thin (1 mm thick) 4-pin SIP (Single In-line Package, Suffix: KT) that is Pb-free with 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
