The A3211 and A3212 integrated circuits are ultra-sensitive, pole-agnostic Hall-effect switches with latched digital outputs. These devices are particularly suitable for operation of battery-powered, handheld devices such as mobile and cordless phones, pagers, and handheld computers. The 2.5 to 3.5 V operating voltage range and unique clocking method reduce the average operating power requirement to less than 15 μW at a 2.75 V supply voltage.

Stability chopper (dynamic offset cancellation) improves stability and reduces residual offset voltages typically caused by device overmolding, temperature dependence, and thermal stress.
The device centralizes a Hall generator, small signal amplifier, stable chopper characteristics, latching, and MOSFET outputs on a single silicon. Utilizes advanced BiCMOS processes to achieve low voltage and low power requirements, component matching, very low input bias errors, and small component geometries.
Four package types provide magnetically optimized solutions for most applications. The miniature low-thickness surface mount package types EH and EL (0.75 and 0.50 mm scales) are lead-free, LH is a three-pin low-thickness SMD, and UA is a three-pin SIP for via mounting. The package is a lead-free package (suffix –T) and the pin frame is 100% matte tin plated.
