The A3213 and A3214 integrated circuits are ultra-sensitive, pole-independent with latched digital outputsHall-effect switches。 They are particularly suitable for the operation of battery-powered, handheld devices such as mobile and cordless phones, pagers, and handheld computers. The 2.4 to 5.5 V operating voltage range and unique clocking method reduce average operating power requirements to less than 825 μW (for the A3213) and 14 μW (for the A3214) at 2.75 V! The characteristics of the A3213 and A3214 are the same except for duty cycle and average operating current.

with othersHall-effect switchesThe difference is that as long as the magnetic field strength of the north or south pole is large enough, the output can be turned on; When there is no magnetic field, the output stops. Pole independent and minimal power requirements allow these devices to be easily swapped with reed switches, providing greater reliability and ease of fabrication, reducing signal conditions.

Stabilization chopping (dynamic offset cancellation) improves stability and reduces residual offset voltages typically caused by device overmolding, temperature dependence, and thermal stress.

These devices concentrate Hall generators, small signal amplifiers, chopper stabilization, latching, and MOSFET outputs on a single silicon chip. Advanced BiCMOS processes are used to take advantage of low voltage and low power requests, component matching, extremely low input bias errors, and small component geometries.

Devices in range "E" are specified for operation from -40°C to 85°C, while devices in range "L" are specified for operation from -40°C to 150°C. Both package models offer magnetically optimized packages for most applications. 'LH' is a miniature, low profile surface mount package, and 'UA' is a three-pin SIP for via mounting. For the A3213, a miniature lead-free DFN/MLP package 'EL' is also available. All packages are Pb-free (suffix, –T) with 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
