The A3909 is a dual-way, all-bridge motor driver designed for 12 V medium-power applications. The output is rated for up to 1 A per phase over a supply voltage range of 4 to 18 V.

Outputs can be connected in parallel in higher current single DC motor applications.

Four inputs (IN1 to IN4) control the forward, reverse, braking, and coasting modes of the DC motor, or the full and half step modes of the bipolar stepper motor.

The A3909 is available in a 10-pin MSOP package with an exposed heatsink (suffix LY) and a 10-pin SSOP package (suffix LN) for wave soldering applications. Both packages are lead-free (Pb) packages, and the pin frames are 100% matte tin plated.
