The A4492 can power a wide range of applications with three high-current, high-performance, switching regulator outputs with independent soft-start.
High-frequency switches support the use of low-cost inductors and small ceramic output capacitors. The regulator's on-cycle cycles are staggered to minimize stress on the input capacitor and reduce EMI. The charge pump is used to supply power to the power switch, ensuring stable operation under large operating cycles and avoiding the use of power draw-in clamping circuits.
When the activation regulator is within the required specification range, it indicates a power-on reset sign with a user-configurable delay. When the input voltage drops below specification, the power-on reset sign is indicated, and the system controller is warned in advance when the switch continues to operate to the shutdown state.
Internal diagnostics provide comprehensive overload, input undervoltage, and overtemperature protection.
The A4492 is available in a 20-contact, 4 mm×4 mm, 0.75 mm nominal overall height QFN package with exposed pads for enhanced heat dissipation. The package is a lead-free (Pb) package with 100% matte tin plating on the pin frame.
