The A4900 is a high voltage, high speed power IGBT or MOSFETdrive, three independent half-bridge channels can be provided for three-phase applications.
Bootstrap capacitors are used to provide the above battery supply voltages required for N-channel MOSFETs or IGBTs used as high-current switches. The device enables direct control of all six gate drives in a three-phase bridge, allowing the motor to be driven by block rectification or sinusoidal excitation. Integrated crossover control and fixed inductive time avoid power switch crossing.
Integrated diagnostics provide undervoltage, overtemperature, and power bridge fault indications. They can be configured to protect the power switch in most short-circuit conditions. Detailed diagnostics are available in the form of serial data word outputs.
The A4900 is available in a lead (Pb) 44-pin QSOP package (suffix LQ) with 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
