PassPulse width modulation(PWM) controls a DC motor, and the A4950 is capable of delivering a peak output current of ±3.5 amps and operating at 40 volts.
The product provides input terminals to control the speed and direction of the DC motor via an externally applied PWM control signal. Internal synchronous rectification control circuitry is used to reduce power consumption during pulse-width modulation (PWM) operation.
Internal circuit protection includes overcurrent protection, motor pin short-to-ground or power short-circuit, thermal shutdown with delay, VBBUndervoltage monitoring and crossover current protection.
The A4950 is available in an 8-pin SOICN miniature package with an exposed heat sink (suffix LJ). The package is lead (Pb) free and has 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
