PWM (Pulse width modulationcontrol, the A4952 and A4953 are capable of withstanding peak output currents up to ±2 amps and peak operating voltages up to 40 volts.
The product provides input terminals to control the speed and direction of the DC motor via an externally applied PWM control signal. Internal synchronous rectification control circuitry is used to reduce power consumption during pulse-width modulation (PWM) operation.
Internal circuit protection includes overcurrent protection, motor ground or power short-circuit, thermal shutdown due to hysteresis, VBB undervoltage monitoring, and crossover current protection.
The A4952 is available in an ultra-thin 10-pin MSOP package and the A4953 is available in an ultra-thin 8-pin SOICN package. Both packages have exposed pads for improved heat dissipation, are Pb-free, and feature 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
