• Product Introduction

The A6213 is a single-IC chip switching regulator that provides a constant current output to drive high-power LEDs. It integrates a high-end N-channel DMOS switch for DC-to-DC buck conversion. The true average current is output via a week-by-week, controlled on-time method.

The external current sense resistor allows the user to select the output current. The output voltage is automatically adjusted to drive a different number of LEDs in a single string of lights. This guarantees optimal system efficiency.

LED dimming is done by enabling a direct logic input pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal at the enable pin.

The device is housed in a small 8-pin narrow SOIC package (suffix LJ) and is fitted with an exposed heat sink for improved thermal functionality. It is packaged as a lead-free (Pb) product with a 100% matte tin plated pin frame.
