Product Introduction

The A8601 is a fixed-frequency, multi-output power supply for LCD display bias. Its switching frequency can be programmed or synchronized with an external clock signal from 350 kHz to 2.25 MHz to minimize interference in the AM and FM bands.

A total of five output voltages are supplied, each provided by three linear regulators and two charge pump regulators. Each output voltage can be adjusted independently. During on/off, the outputs turn on and off in a pre-programmed order to meet the sequential requirements of a specific LCD screen.

All outputs are short-circuit protected. The boost switch has overcurrent and overvoltage protection. Input disconnect protection is obtained by driving an external P-MOSFET.

The 28-pin exposed heatsink TSSOP package allows for operation at high ambient temperatures. The packaging is lead-free and features a 100% matte tin plated lead frame.
