ACS758KCB-150B-PFF-T with enhanced thermal dissipation with 100 μΩ current conductor, fully integrated, Hall-effect based linear currentsensorIC
Allegro®The ACS758 current sensor IC family provides an affordable and accurate solution for AC or DC current sensing. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-DC converter control, inverter control, and overcurrent fault detection.
The device consists of a precision, low offset linear Hall sensor circuit with a copper current path close to the die. The current applied through this copper current path generates a magnetic field that can be sensed by the integrated Hall IC and converted into a proportional voltage. Device accuracy is optimized by placing the magnetic signal close to the Hall sensor. The accurate, proportional output voltage is provided by a chopper-stable, low-bias BiCMOS Hall IC that is factory programmed with precision.
Allegro's unique integrated screen technology provides high tolerance to current conductor dV/dt signals and stray electric fields, ensuring low output voltage ripple and low bias drift in high-side, high-voltage applications.
The output of the device has a positive slope (>V) as the current rises through the primary copper conduction path (from terminal 4 to terminal 5) that acts as the current sensing pathCC/2) 。 The internal resistance of this conduction path is typically 100 μΩ with low power loss.
The thickness of the copper wire allows the device to operate under high overcurrent conditions. The terminals of the conduction path are electrically isolated from the sensor pins (pins 1 through 3). This allows the ACS758 sensor IC family to be used in applications that require electrical isolation without the use of opto-insulators or other expensive insulation technologies.
The device is fully calibrated before shipping from the factory. The ACS758 series is lead-free. All pins are 100% matte tin plated and there is no lead present in the package. A large number of gauge leadframes are made of oxygen-free copper.
