Allegro™ ACS764 fully integrated Hall effectCurrent sensorICs are designed for those who need to pass I2The C-bus™ is designed for digital current sensing and reporting applications. Allegro's factory programmed deviation and gain, including temperature coefficient, stabilizes the deviation and gain over the entire operating temperature range. This programming significantly reduces the total error of the device to less than 2% over the entire operating temperature range. In addition, a fast-response digital fault output is provided. Available through I2C control registers are programmed for coarse sensitivity and fault level to improve diagnostics.

The integration of low-resistance conductors eliminates the need for external shunt resistors, and by using Hall-effect technology, errors associated with shunt resistors can be eliminated, as the resistance of shunt resistors can vary with temperature. The unit accommodates 16 unique I's2C-bus addresses, which can be selected by external pins. Users can do this by I2The C-bus selects the sensor IC gain. The device uses a BiCMOS process to enable a highly stable, stable chopper-chopping small signal amplifier design.

The ACS764 is available in a compact 24-pin QSOP package (suffix: LF). The leadframe is 100% matte tin plating for compatibility with standard lead-free printed circuit board assembly processes. The device is internally lead-free, except for the current RoHS-exempt high-temperature leaded solder balls used in the flip method.
