ACS770ECB-200U-PFF-T with enhanced thermal dissipation with 100 μΩ current conductor, fully integrated, Hall-effect-based high-precision linear current sensor ICAllegro™ ACS770 current sensor IC
Series provides an affordable and accurate solution for AC or DC current sensing. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-DC converter control, inverter control, and overcurrent fault detection.
The device consists of a low-offset, precision linear Hall circuit with a copper current path close to the surface of the wafer. The current flowing through this current path generates a magnetic field centered on a low hysteresis nucleus that is converted by the Hall IC to a voltage output of the same proportionality. Device accuracy optimization is achieved by placing the magnetic signal as close as possible to the Hall sensor. The accurate, proportional output voltage is provided by a chopper-stable, low-bias BiCMOS Hall IC that is factory programmed with precision. Ratiometric digital temperature compensation greatly improves IC accuracy and temperature stability without compromising the high bandwidth operation of the analog output.
Allegro's proprietary integrated shielding technology provides high tolerance to current conductor dV/dt signals and stray electric fields, ensuring low output voltage ripple and low bias drift in high-side, high-voltage applications.
The output of the device has a positive slope (>V for bidirectional devices) when the current rises through the primary copper conduction path (from terminal 4 to terminal 5) that acts as the current sensing pathCC/2) 。 The internal resistance of this current path is typically 100 μΩ with low power loss.
The thickness of the copper wire allows the device to operate under high overcurrent conditions. The terminals of the current path are galvanically isolated from the signal leads (pins 1 through 3). This makes the ACS770 sensor IC family useful for applications that require electrical isolation without the use of opto-insulators or other expensive insulation technologies.
The device is fully calibrated before shipping from the factory. The ACS770 series is lead-free. All leads are plated with 100% matte tin and no lead is present in the package. The large leadframe is made of oxygen-free copper.
