The AD42211 is a true two-meter A, bidirectional, dual-pole, single-throw, normally open MOSFET output solid-state relay. It is used to replace electromechanical relays in general-purpose switching applications. The relay consists of two integrated circuits, each driving a rugged source-to-source DMOS transistor enhanced dual. The two integrated circuits are optically coupled to a light-emitting diode while controlling the switch. The output MOS transistor is protected with freewheeling diodes that can handle inrush currents up to 1.5A, making lamp switching relays ideal for highly inductive loads.
