The AD4C311-L is a bidirectional, two-rod, single-throw, normally open solid state relay. The combination of high load voltages makes the low on-resistance and current limit protection AD4C311-L the only device. The AD4C311-L combines two opto-isolated, discrete, current-limiting protection solid-state relays in a compact 8-pin DIP/SMD package. Each SSR is composed of infrared light-emitting diodes, optically coupled to an IC, thereby driving the output on a back-to-back MOSFET. The IC provides current limit protection. During transient current spikes, the circuit reduces the output current to the device, thereby providing additional protection for itself and downstream components.
