The AD4C312 is a bidirectional, two-rod, single-throw, normally closed multifunction solid state relay. It is used to replace electromechanical relays in general purpose switching applications. The relay consists of two integrated circuits, each driving a rugged source-to-source depleted DMOS transistor pair. Each integrated circuit is optocoupled to a light-emitting diode. The output MOS transistor is protected with a freewheeling diode that can handle inrush currents up to 1.5A, making the lamp ideal for switching relays and highly inductive loads.
