The AD5060 is part of the nanoDAC® family and is a single-channel, full-precision, 16-bit, buffered voltage output DAC in a SOT-23 package.
The AD5060 integrates a 16-bit DAC with a high-performance output buffer in a SOT-23 package with a maximum integral nonlinear error (INL) of 1 LSB, making it ideal for high-performance applications such as open-loop control or precision gain and offset. The device features a versatile three-wire serial interface that is capable of operating at clock rates up to 30 MHz and is compatible with standard SPI™, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards. The AD5060's reference voltage is obtained via an external REF pin, and a reference buffer is provided on the chip to simplify the device application. The device has a built-in power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output is powered up to 0 V/medium range (depending on the model) and maintains that level until a valid write operation is performed on the device. It also features power savings, with the device dissipating to 1 μA at 5 V in power-saving mode and a software-selectable output load. The power-saving mode is activated via a serial interface and has very low burrs when powering up. The device has a total unadjusted error of less than 1 mV.
