The AD5063, part of Analog Devices' nanoDAC® family, is a low-power, single-channel 16-bit unbuffered output DAC that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5 V supply. The relative accuracy specification is ±1 LSB to ensure the monotonicity of the operation, and the differential nonlinearity (DNL) specification is ±1 LSB. The AD5063 is available in an on-chip resistor and a 10-pin MSOP package, allowing for bipolar signal generation through the output amplifier. The device features a versatile three-wire serial interface that is capable of operating at clock rates up to 30 MHz and is compatible with standard SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE,™ and DSP interfaces. The AD5063's reference voltage is provided via an external VREF pin. An in-chip reference buffer is provided. The device has a built-in power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output is powered up to an intermediate level and maintained until a valid write operation is performed on the device. It also features shutdown that typically reduce the device's power consumption to 300 nA (typical) at 5 V in shutdown mode and provides a software-selectable output load. Shutdown mode can be entered through the serial interface. The device has a total unadjusted error of less than 1 mV.
The device has very low burrs when powered on.
