The AD5303/AD5313/AD5323 are dual-channel 8/10/12-bit, buffered voltage output DACs available in a 16-pin TSSOP package that operates from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply and consumes 230 μA at 3 V. These devices have a built-in on-chip output amplifier that provides rail-to-rail output swing with a slew rate of 0.7 V/μs. The AD5303/AD5313/AD5323 feature a versatile three-wire serial interface that is capable of operating at clock rates up to 30 MHz and is compatible with standard SPI, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards.
The reference voltage of the two DACs is obtained from the two reference voltage pins (one pin corresponds to one DAC). These reference inputs can be configured as buffered or unbuffered inputs. Each of these devices has a built-in power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output is powered up to 0 V and maintained at that level until a valid write operation is performed on the device. There is also an asynchronous low-level effective CLR pin that clears the two DACs to 0 V. Asynchronous LDAC inputs can be used to update the outputs of both DACs at the same time. It also features power savings, reducing the device's power consumption to 200 nA at 5 V (50 nA at 3 V) in power-saving mode and providing a software-selectable output load. These devices can also be used in daisy-chaining applications via SDO pins.
In normal operating mode, these devices have low power consumption, making them ideal for portable battery-powered devices. Power consumption is 1.5 mW at 5 V, 0.7 mW at 3 V, and 1 μW in power-saving mode.
