The AD5444/AD5446 are CMOS, 12/14-bit, and current-output digital-to-analog converters (DACs), respectively. These devices are powered from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply, making them suitable for battery-powered and other applications.
These devices are manufactured using a CMOS submicron process and provide excellent four-quadrant multiplication characteristics with multiplication bandwidths up to 12 MHz.
These DACs feature a dual-buffered, three-wire serial interface and are compatible with SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and most DSP interface standards. On power-up, the internal shift register and latch are filled with 0 and the DAC output is at zero.
The full-scale output current is determined by the applied external reference input voltage (VREF). Although operated from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply, these devices can also handle ± 10 V reference input. When used with an external current-to-voltage precision amplifier, the integrated feedback resistor (RFB) provides temperature tracking and full-scale voltage output. The AD5444/AD5446 are available in a small 10-pin MSOP package and are pin-compatible with the AD5425/AD5426/AD5432/AD5443 family of DACs.
