The AD5450/AD5451/AD5452/AD54531 are CMOS, 8/10/12/14-bit, current-output digital-to-analog converters, respectively. These devices are powered from a 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply and are suitable for a wide range of applications, including battery-powered applications.
Manufactured using the CMOS submicron process, these DACs provide excellent four-quadrant multiplication characteristics with multiplication bandwidths up to 12 MHz.
These DACs feature a dual-buffered, three-wire serial interface and are compatible with SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and most DSP interface standards.
On power-up, the internal shift register and latch are filled with 0 and the DAC output is at zero.
The full-scale output current is determined by the applied external reference input voltage (VREF). Although operated from a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply, these devices can also handle ± 10 V reference input. When used with an external current-to-voltage precision amplifier, the integrated feedback resistor (RFB) provides temperature tracking and full-scale voltage output.
The AD5450/AD5451/AD5452/AD5453 DACs are available in a small 8-pin TSOT package, and the AD5452/AD5453 are also available in an MSOP package. In addition, the AD5453 is available in an 8-pin LFSCP package.
