The AD5541 and AD5542 are single-channel, 16-bit, serial input, voltage-output digital-to-analog converters (DACs) that operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. The DAC output ranges from 0 V to VREF
The DAC outputs range from 0 V to VREF for monotonicity, providing 1 LSB INL accuracy (16 bits) with no adjustment required, and a temperature range of −40°C to +85°C. The AD5541/AD5542 provide unbuffered outputs with a 1 μs settling time, low power consumption, and low offset error. These devices offer low noise performance of 11.8 nV/√Hz and low burrs, making them suitable for use in a wide range of end systems.
The AD5542 is capable of operating in bipolar mode and produces ± VREF output swing. It also includes a Kelvin detection connection for the reference voltage to the analog ground pin to reduce layout sensitivity.
The AD5541/AD5542 feature a versatile three-wire interface and are compatible with SPI, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards. The AD5541/AD5542 are available in 8-pin and 14-pin SOIC packages.
