The AD5602/AD5612/AD5622 are all part of the categorynanoThe DAC family, which is a single, 8-/10-, 12-bit, buffered voltage output DAC®, operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, consumes less than 100 μA at 5 V, and is available in a small SC70 package. Each DAC has an on-chip precision outputamplifier, capable of achieving rail-to-rail output swing.

The AD5602/AD5612/AD5622 feature a 2-wire I2C-compatible serial interface that operates in standard (100 KHz), fast (400 KHz), and high speed (3.4 MHz) modes.

All three devices derive their reference voltages from the power input, resulting in the widest dynamic output range. Each device includes a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output powers up to 0 V and remains at that level until a valid write is performed on the device. It also features a shutdown feature that reduces the device's power consumption to less than 150 nA at 3 V in shutdown mode and provides a software-selectable output load. Shutdown mode can be entered through the serial interface. In normal operating mode, the AD5602/AD5612/AD5622 feature low power consumption, making them ideal for portable, battery-powered equipment. The power consumption at 5 V is 0.4 mW.
