The AD5601/AD5611/AD5621 belong to the AD5601/AD5621nanoThe DAC family, which is a single, 8-/10-, 12-bit, buffered voltage output DAC®, operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, consumes 75 μA typical at 5 V, and is available in a small LFCSP and SC70 package. These devices contain on-chip precision output amplifiers that enable rail-to-rail output swing. THE AD5601/AD5611/AD5621 FEATURE A VERSATILE 3-WIRE SERIAL INTERFACE CAPABLE OF OPERATING AT CLOCK RATES UP TO 30 UMHz and are compatible with spi, qspi,™ microwire™, and dsp interface standards.

All three devices derive their reference voltages from the power input, resulting in the widest dynamic output range. Each of these devices has a built-in onePower-on reset circuit, ensure that the DAC output powers up to 0 V and maintains that level until a valid write is performed on the device.

It also features a power-down feature that reduces the typical power consumption of the device to 0.2 μA at 3 V in power-down mode and provides a software-selectable output load. Shutdown mode can be entered through the serial interface.

In normal operating mode, these devices feature low power consumption, making them ideal for portable battery-powered devices. thesenanoDAC devices combine a small package with low power consumption, making them ideal for meeting level-setting requirements, such as biasing or controlling voltages in space-constrained, power-sensitive applications.

Product features

  1. Available in 6-pin LFCSP and SC70 packages.
  2. Low power consumption, single-supply operation. The AD5601/AD5611/AD5621 operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and consume 100 μA maximum, making them ideal for battery-powered applications.
  3. Using an on-chip output buffer amplifier, the DAC provides rail-to-rail output swing with a typical slew rate of 0.5 V/μs.
  4. The reference voltage is derived from the power supply.
  5. High-speed serial interface with clock rates up to 30 MHz. Designed for very low power applications. The interface powers up only during write cycles.
  6. Shutdown function. When turned off, the DAC has a typical power-on reset current of 0.2 μA at 3 V with brownout detection.
