The AD5601/AD5611/AD5621 are nanoDAC® families that are single-channel, 8/10/12-bit, buffered output DACs that operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply with a typical power consumption of 75 μA at 5 V in a small LFCSP and SC70 package. These devices have built-in on-chip precision output amplifiers that enable rail-to-rail output swing. The AD5601/AD5611/AD5621 feature a versatile three-wire serial interface that can operate at clock rates up to 30 MHz and is compatible with SPI, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards.
All three devices have the widest dynamic output range due to their voltage references from the mains input. Each of these devices has a built-in power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output is powered up to 0 V and maintained at that level until a valid write operation is performed on the device.
It also features power savings, reducing the device's typical power consumption to 0.2 μA at 3 V in power-saving mode and providing a software-selectable output load. Shutdown mode can be entered through the serial interface.
In normal operating mode, these devices have low power consumption, making them ideal for portable battery-powered devices. These nanoDAC devices combine a small package with low power consumption, making them particularly suitable for level setting requirements, such as bias generation or control voltage in space-constrained, power-sensitive applications.
