The AD5624R/AD5644R/AD5664R are all part of the categorynanoThe DAC® family is a low power, quad, 12/14-, 16-bit buffered voltage outputDigital-to-analog converters (DAC), operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, and is designed to be monotonic.
The AD5624R/AD5644R/AD5664R each contain an on-chip reference. The AD56x4R-3 contains a 1.25 V, 5 ppm/°C reference with a full-scale output range of 2.5 V; The AD56x4R-5 contains a 2.5 V, 5 ppm/°C reference with a full-scale output range of 5 V. At power-up, the on-chip reference is turned off, allowing the use of an external reference. All devices operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. The internal reference is enabled via software write.
A power-on reset circuit is included to ensure that the DAC outputs 0 V after power-up and remains at that level until a valid write is performed. It also features independent shutdown for each channel, which reduces the device's power consumption to 480 nA at 5 V in shutdown mode and provides a software-selectable output load. In normal operation, the device features low power consumption, making it ideal for portable battery-powered devices.
THE AD5624R/AD5644R/AD5664R FEATURE A VERSATILE 3-WIRE SERIAL INTERFACE CAPABLE OF OPERATING AT CLOCK RATES UP TO 50 UMHz and are compatible with standard spi, qspi,™ microwire™, and dsp interface standards. It includes an on-chip precision output amplifier that enables rail-to-rail output swing.
