AD57801 is a true 18-bit, unbuffered output DAC powered by a bipolar supply up to 33 V. The positive reference input range is 5 V to VDD – 2.5 V and the negative reference input range is VSS+ 2.5 V to 0V. Both reference inputs are buffered in-chip and do not require external buffering. The AD5780 has a maximum relative accuracy of ±1 LSB to ensure monotonicity of operation and a maximum differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±1 LSB.
The device features a versatile three-wire serial interface that can operate at clock rates up to 35 MHz and is compatible with standard SPI, QSPI™, MICROWIRE,™ and DSP interfaces. It has a built-in power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC is powered up to 0 V and maintains a known output impedance until a valid write operation is performed on the device. The output clamping feature puts the output in a defined load state.
