Product details

AD586Represents a significant advance in the field of advanced monolithic references. It uses proprietary ion-implanted embedded Zener diodes and laser wafer trimming of highly stable thin-film resistors, resulting in excellent performance at a lower cost.

AD586Performance is significantly higher than most other 5 V references. It uses an industry-standard pinout, so many systems can be upgraded quickly with the AD586. The reference design uses an embedded Zener method to reduce noise and drift to the bandgap reference. The device also provides a noise reduction pin to further reduce the noise level generated by the embedded Zener diode.

The AD586 is recommended as a reference for 8-, 10-, 12-, 14-, or 16-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) that require an external precision reference. The device is also ideal for successive approximation or integrated analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) up to 14-bit accuracy, and typically outperforms standard on-chip references.

The AD586J/K/L/M is specified over the 0°C to +70°C temperature range, the AD586A/B is -40°C to +85°C, and the AD586S/T is -55°C to +125°C. The AD586J/K/L/M is available in an 8-lead plastic DIP package; The AD586J/K/L/A/B is available in an 8-lead plastic surface-mount small (SO) package; The AD586J/K/L/S/T is available in an 8-lead CERDIP package.
