    AD587Represents a significant advance in the field of advanced monolithic references. It uses proprietary ion-implanted embedded Zener diodes and laser wafer trimming of highly stable thin-film resistors, resulting in excellent performance at a lower cost.

    The performance of the AD587 is significantly higher than most others10 V reference。 It uses an industry-standard pinout, so many systems can be upgraded quickly with the AD587.

    The reference design uses an embedded Zener method to reduce noise and drift to the bandgap reference. The device also provides a noise reduction pin to further reduce the noise level generated by the embedded Zener diode.

    The AD587 is recommended as an 8-, 10-, 12-, 14-, or 16-bit DAC that requires an external precision reference. The device is also ideal for successive approximation or integrated ADCs with up to 14-bit accuracy, and typically outperforms standard on-chip references.

    The AD587J and AD587K are specified over the 0°C to 70°C temperature range, while the AD587U is −55°C to +125°C. The AD587JQ and AD587UQ are available in 8-lead CERDIP packages, and other models are available in 8-lead SOIC packages for surface-mount applications or 8-lead PDIP.

    Product Focus

    1. Both the initial accuracy and temperature coefficient are laser adjusted, resulting in extremely low error over temperature and the need for external components. The AD587U is guaranteed to have a maximum total error of ±14 mV over the −55°C to +125°C range.
    2. Optional precision adjustment connections designed for applications requiring higher precision.
    3. With a 10 V reference with an industry-standard pinout, existing systems can be upgraded immediately.
    4. Very low output noise. The AD587 output noise is typically 4 μV p-p. A noise reduction pin is also provided to further filter the noise with an external capacitor.
