The AD7175-2 is a low-noise, fast-settling, multiplexed, 2/4-channel (fully differential/pseudo-differential) sigma-to-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for low-bandwidth inputs. The device has a maximum channel scan rate of 50 kSPS (20 μs) for fully established data. The output data rate ranges from 5 SPS to 250 kSPS.
The AD7175-2 integrates key analog and digital signal conditioning modules that allow users to configure each analog input channel individually for use. Users can select functions individually for each channel. Analog and external reference inputs integrate true rail-to-rail buffers to provide easy-to-drive, high-impedance inputs. A precision 2.5 V low-drift (2 ppm/°C) bandgap internal reference with output reference buffer adds embedded functionality while reducing the number of external components.
The digital filter provides synchronized 50 Hz/60 Hz rejection at 27.27 SPS output data rate. Users can switch between different filter options depending on the needs of each channel in the application. The ADC automatically switches between each selected channel. Additional digital processing capabilities include offset and gain calibration registers that can be configured on a per-channel basis.
The devices are powered from 5 V AVDD1 or ±2.5 V AVDD1/AVSS and 2 V to 5 V AVDD2 and IOVDD supplies. The AD7175-2 is rated for an operating temperature range of −40°C to +105°C and is available in a 24-pin TSSOP package. Note that throughout the datasheet, only the relevant function will refer to the dual-function pin name.
