AD7322BRUZ Software-selectable true bipolar input, dual-channel, 12-bit (with symbolic bits) SAR ADC
The AD7322* is a dual-channel, 12-bit successive approximation ADC with symbols based on the iCMOS (Industrial CMOS) process. iCMOS is a process that combines high-voltage silicon with submicron CMOS and complementary bipolar technologies. This process enables the development of high-performance analog ICs operating at a high voltage of 33V, with a volumetric performance ratio that is not possible with conventional high-voltage devices. Unlike analog ICs that use traditional CMOS processes, iCMOS devices can input bipolar signals while improving performance, significantly reducing power consumption and package size.
The AD7322 can input a true bipolar analog signal with four software-selectable input ranges: ±10 V, ±5 V, ±2.5 V, and 0 to +10 V. Each analog input channel can be independently programmed and can be set to one of four input ranges. The analog input channels in the AD7322 can be programmed to be single-ended, true differential, or pseudo-differential.
The ADC has a built-in 2.5 V reference and can also support external references. If a 3V reference is applied to the REFIN/OUT pins, the AD7322 accepts ± 12 V true bipolar analog input. For the ± 12V input range, VDD and VSS supplies with a minimum ± of 12V are required. The ADC is equipped with a high-speed serial interface with a maximum throughput of 1 MSPS.
