The AD7357 is a dual, 14-bit, high speed, low power, successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single 2.5 V supply with throughput rates up to 4.25 MSPS. The device contains two ADCs, each preceded by a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold circuit that can handle input frequencies above 110 MHz.

The conversion process and data acquisition use standard control inputs and are easy to interface with a microprocessor or digital signal processor (DSP). Its input signal is sampled on the falling edge of CS while conversion begins. The conversion time is determined by the SCLK frequency.

The AD7357 uses advanced design techniques to achieve very low power consumption at high throughput rates. It operates from a 2.5 V supply, has a throughput rate of 4.25 MSPS, and typically consumes 14 mA. Because of its ultralow quiescent current, the device also offers flexible throughput rates and power management in normal mode.

The analog input range is differential common-mode +/- Vref/2. The AD7357 has an internal 2.048 V reference, or an external reference can be used.

The AD7357 is available in a 16-lead ultrathin compact package (TSSOP).
