Under the control of WR, CS, and DAC channel address pins A0–A2, the AD7836 loads 14-bit parallel data from the external bus into one of the input latches.
The DAC output is updated independently as new data is received. In addition, the SEL input can be used to apply the user setting value from DAC register E to all DACs, so that all DAC output voltages can be set to the same level. The contents of the DAC data registers are not affected by SEL inputs.
Each DAC output is buffered by an amplifier with a gain of 2, and an external DAC offset voltage can be inserted into the amplifier via the DUTGNDx pin.
The AD7836 is available in a 44-pin PQFP package.
