AD8112is a low-cost, fully buffered intersectionSwitch matrix, operating from a ±12 V supply in audio applications and a ±5 V supply in video applications. For both analog and digital audio, a signal bandwidth of more than 60 MHz of −3 dB is available, and the channel switching 0.1% settling time is less than 60 ns. Operating at 20 kHz, the device has a crosstalk performance of −83 dB and isolation of 90 dB. In addition, ground/power pins are provided around all inputs and outputs, providing additional masking for the most demanding audio routing applications. Differential gain and differential phase are better than 0.1% and 0.1°, respectively, and 0.1 dB flatness output up to 10 MHz make it suitable for many video applications.
The AD8112 contains eight independent output buffers that can be disabled to provide parallel crosspoint outputs to minimize shutdown channel loading. The device has a gain of +2, operates from a ±5 V or ±12 V supply, and consumes 34 mA or 31 mA, respectively. Channel switching is implemented via a serial digital control interface (allowing multiple devices to be daisy-chained) or a parallel control interface; Each output can be updated independently without reprogramming the entire array.
The AD8112 is available in a 100-lead LQFP package and operates over the 0°C to 70°C commercial temperature range.
